Trieste is a city and seaport in northeastern Italy. Its province is a narrow strip of Italian territory, lying between the Adriatic Sea and Slovenia.
Trieste is located at the head of the Gulf of Trieste and throughout history, it has been influenced by its location at the crossroads of Latin, Slavic and Germanic cultures.
Travel info e visa
All travellers other than Schengen area citizens need to visit the official webpage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to check if a valid visa is needed to enter Italy. For some nationalities, processing and issuance of visas can take several weeks/months, so apply well before your planned travel.
Conference dinner
The conference dinner will be held on Wednesday evening and after that it will be possible to go to the Telescope in Basovizza to visit the new historical exhibition and observe the night sky (if the weather allows it).
